This Saturday @ 11:00AM in Flagstaff: FIRST RUGBY GAME!

If anyone's not doing anything this Saturday and could make it... that would be pretty freakin' awesome.

p.s. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I could wear for a "gangsta" themed party?

It's been awhile since I last posted here; I guess the logical thing to do then would be provide you with an update on my life. Let's see, where to start...

Back in November, my life changed, just a little. On Monday, November 13th, at 5:55am, Gyllian Alysa-Marrie Burns was born, 7 lbs 8 ounces. Two weeks later, Sunday, November 26th, her father (I'm pretty sure he's her father), Joshua Burns and I were married. It was a small wedding, just family, so don't feel left out just because you weren't invited, no one was. On December 9th, we celebrated my 19th birthday.

Joshua and I agreed that I should stay in school, so we moved into a little appartment about a mile off campus. Joshua worked full time so I could concentrate on school and Gyllian. If I didn't have so many friends that were willing to help me out with her (watch her when I had class) I don't know how I would've made it through the semester. In the end, I wound up with two As and two Bs (not bad eh?).

Josh and I moved back to Phoenix for the summer to live with his parents to save money (we let a friend take over the apartment until August). Living with his parents can be hectic at times (I feel as though I'm constantly getting lectured by his mother) but they have been very helpful, and for the most part, supportive. His mother restores and sells antiques and has "hired" me to photograph the pieces to help them sell. His father works in construction and has given Josh a temporary job until we move back up north. The hours are long but the money is great; we are very grateful. Josh's parents have even talked about buying a house in Flagstaff so they can watch Gyllian durring the day so he can go back to school as well (he was an English major but he's considering switching to business).
So that's kind of where we're at right now, just hanging out in Phoenix until August.

"And moss grows fat on a rollin’ stone"

no matter how fast you try to run from all your problems, they will only continue to build up. but for some reason we contuine to glamorize it; every teen wants to run away, but what are you running from, and where are you going? someone that runs with no direction only winds up getting more lost. it's a backwards society, cleverly instilling it's own morals and ideals into us. if you stay on society's good side, you prosper, and if you rebel, you're respected and adored. and the way trends have been popping up lately, i find myself asking the question of why people choose these lifestyles? are they being upstanding citizens because they feel it's the moral thing to do, or just because they want more money. are they rebeling because they want to make a difference, or just because they want the attention? is anything done anymore without some kind of insentive put on by our materialistic society? what is your motivation? and are you motivated enough to stick with it, even when you don't get the expected results? do you fight for ways to suceed, or look for oppurtunities to justify your failure? what is it you're looking for? Are you willing to ever give up on your search?

was the music ever really alive?

i don't deal with death well and i would apreciate it if people wouldn't speak about it so casually, i mean seriously, you don't have to go on complaining about how you think you're dying because you have a sore throat and your ankle hurts, you're not dying, and you know it, so dont' say it.....

sorry, i don't mean this to offened anyone. it's just been really getting to me lately

so apparently there's something wrong with our computer again, funny, it seems to be working fine for me, but my brother is unsatisfied so my dad is resorting to erasing the hard drive...again, so once again, there goes all my music, and i was just starting to get my collection back to where it was, and on top of all that, the last time he erased it, i made the mistake of leaving the cd's with all my files saved on them in the computer room, and since i was out of state, my dad loaded all the files back onto the computer, and was kind enough to put my personal files on everyone's profile, so now i have my whole family chastising me for pictures from photo class!! can you believe it?? pictures that were taken for school projects and my dad's going on about how he doesn't want that crap on his computer!

i swear, once i leave, i'm not comming back. i can't wait till next summer.......

satisfaction gaurnteed [29 May 2005|04:26pm]
let's try something new today
we'll break away and jump a train
forget all that you've ever know
i don't want a house i need a home

join me now we'll run away
take my hand and i'll lead the way
leave behind your fears and doubts
today we start over and live for now

though many trials may lie ahead
we'll conquer each one hand in hand
we'll meet new people, make new friends
live for love 'till our time expends

so come along we'll leave today
take on new names and run away
don't look back, hold no regrets
for this is where our life begins
